Michael Harth, Founder of Sunset Valet and currently Chief Culture Officer of Laz Parking, will share how he grew a small valet parking service company in the hospitality industry into a national leader through unconditional trust, employee recognition and strong core values. He’ll discuss why he considers the company’s culture as its key competitive advantage, especially when it comes to managing a workforce of over 1,000 managers and 7,000 employees spread out across 25 states.

Michael is one of the original founders of LAZ Parking, a national firm with over 7,000 amazing people providing parking management services at 1,800+ locations across the country. He is responsible for protecting, nurturing and developing LAZ Parking’s unique culture. After graduating with a psychology degree from the University of California at San Diego in 1981, Michael founded Sunset Parking, the West Coast brand of LAZ Parking.
He grew Sunset Parking into a leader in the hospitality service industry with more than 175 locations, all defined by his commitment to delivering service with exceptional integrity and professionalism. He then joined LAZ Parking as a senior partner after merging Sunset Parking with his childhood best friends, Alan Lazowski and Jeffrey Karp.
Michael oversees the company’s west coast operations and human resources department, ensuring that above all, LAZ remains “all about the People”.
